MODAvational Notes: There’s Something Different About You
This weekend was a huge event weekend for my company, so of course, I ran into so many people I haven’t seen in months. It is a much more fun experience when you know you are looking and feeling better than ever.
Feeling confident, I set out to enjoy the night. It was hilarious to hear the consistent confusion in people: Something is so different about you. Did you cut your hair? Did you grow your hair out? Did you get a tan? and on and on. I allowed them to keep guessing. And to be truthful, it took me a while to realize they couldn’t place the missing 26 pounds. It finally sunk in when one woman shouted out of her car, “Wow, your trainer is doing great.” It felt good to hear it. However, while I do have the most amazing trainer in Southern California (Anthony Farmer), I will take full credit…thank you very much.
On that note, I’ve been stuck at 26 pounds for several weeks now. While I’m pleased that I haven’t gained weight, I’m still feeling a little discouraged. Granted, I did go on a vacation for a week, then celebrated by 33rd birthday for the next week, and then on to the big event weekend, but nonetheless, I seem to have put myself aside to get through my action list.
Starting this week, I vow to get back on track. I forgive myself for not making progress and accept that I did the best I could while having the time of my life. I’m excited to get back on my schedule, get in my MODAperformance activewear and hit the gym. It’s time to take it all the way!

Looking to incorporate the same kind of accomplishments for her health and fitness, Jennifer recently embarked on a fitness challenge guided by Anthony Farmer of The Lab Training with the goal of losing 30 pounds and getting in the best shape of her life. Her journey is about finding balance in the daily demands that keep growing and changing and what she’s finding is that it has to do with more than what she eats and how she exercises.
